A 41-year-old woman and a 35-year-old man, both of Arnold, recently were arrested for felony stealing, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones says.
At about 8 p.m. May 26, the man and woman allegedly stole five Fitbits, altogether valued at $849, from the Target store, 3849 Vogel Road, in Arnold. After determining the license plate number from the suspects’ vehicle, a Mazda Protege, the two were identified, Arnold Police reported.
Later, St. Louis County Police picked up the woman and man and at 2:10 p.m. June 4, dropped them off at the Arnold Police Department, where they had been listed as wanted. The two were booked and then released pending application for warrants. The Fitbits were not recovered, Jones said.
Arnold Police will seek charges against the two through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. As of June 8, no charges had been filed, Jones said.
