A 45-year-old Arnold woman recently was arrested for allegedly stealing a car from her landlord, Arnold Police report.
The theft was reported Aug. 20, after the victim’s 2007 Chevrolet HHR was stolen from the 2000 block of Key West Drive, the report said.
It reportedly was stolen Aug. 16, and then the vehicle was recovered Aug. 21 in Kennett, where the woman was found with it, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
The woman was arrested in Kennett, and then Arnold Police went there and took her into custody, according to the report.
She was taken to the Arnold Police Department, booked and released pending application for warrants, Ruckman said.
He said Arnold Police will seek felony stealing charges against her through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
As of Aug. 26, however, no charges had been filed, Ruckman said.
The car was returned to its owner, Ruckman added.
