Arnold Police will seek charges against a 32-year-old Arnold woman for reportedly endangering the welfare of a child and possessing a substance believed to be heroin, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
At 6:51 p.m., Arnold Police got a call to assist Children’s Division with an investigation at a home on Ozark Hills, after the agency was called to check the welfare of a 3-month-old boy there, Jones said.
When officers arrived at the scene, they allegedly found a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia at the home, and the 3-month’s old mother appeared to be “highly impaired,” the report said.
Children’s Division took custody of the boy, and his mother needed medical attention and was taken by Rock Township Ambulance to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County, Jones said.
Arnold Police will seek charges against her through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, the report said.
