A 17-year-old Arnold woman was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after she wrecked the car she was driving at Starling Airport Road near Manufacturer’s Drive in Arnold. She was not injured in the crash, Arnold Police reported.

At about 1 a.m. May 25, the teen was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima on Starling Road and failed to negotiate a curve, and the car ran off the left side of the road, hit a curb and came to rest in a grass embankment. The car was extensively damage, the report said.

The teen took a breath test and reportedly had .194 percent blood-alcohol content. In Missouri, the legal limit is.08 percent.

She was transported to the police station, booked, issued a summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for DWI and released to a sober driver, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
