A 56-year-old Imperial woman was arrested at Target, 3849 Vogel Road, after substances believed to be illegal drugs were allegedly found in her purse. Officers were called to the store because a woman was acting strange and making incoherent statements, Arnold Police reported.
Officers found the woman at about 4 p.m. Oct. 1 in the store’s bathroom. The woman allowed an officer to search her purse, and he allegedly found numerous multi-color capsules, small blue pills and a straw that was cut in half and had residue on it, the report said.
The woman was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and released pending the application of charges, according to the report.
Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
