Arnold Police used spike strips to disable a vehicle that law enforcement officers had chased from St. Charles County to I-55 and Hwy. 141 in Arnold. Once the vehicle was disabled, a 33-year-old St. Peters man was taken into custody, Arnold Police reported.
The man was wanted for a probation violation. He also was wanted in several jurisdictions on a variety of outstanding warrants, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The suspect was wanted on felony narcotics warrants, as well as warrants for resisting arrest, failure to pay child support and traffic violations, Arnold Police reported.
While the suspect was fleeing from police, the vehicle he was driving allegedly struck another one in the St. Charles area. After the suspect was stopped, police allegedly found two guns in the vehicle, including a stolen one, Jones said.
He said St. Charles County authorities took the man into custody and transported him back to their police department.
