Arnold Police are investigating the recent theft of a pickup and a motorcycle that was in the truck bed. The white 2016 Ford F-150 pickup was stolen after it had been abandoned on the side of northbound I-55 near Richardson Road after it ran out of gas, police reported.
A 31-year-old Fenton man said his pickup ran out of gas at about 4 p.m. April 17, and he left it on the side of the interstate unlocked with the keys inside. He said a 1993 Honda XR100R motorcycle was in the bed of the truck, the report said.
The man returned to get his pickup on April 18, but it and the motorcycle were gone, according to the report.
Arnold Police did not provide an approximate value for the pickup and motorcycle.
As of April 24, neither the pickup nor the motorcycle had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
