Arnold Police are investigating recent vandalism outside the Target store on Vogel Road. Two shopping carts from the store were found burning in a creek behind the retail complex that houses the store and other businesses. In addition, a real estate sign from the property was found damaged, a police report said.
Just before 1 a.m. Aug. 1, an officer on patrol saw several suspects running from the parking lot outside the nearby Xist Fitness and into woods behind the complex. Then, the officer spotted the damaged sign and burning carts, and the Rock Community Fire Protection District was called to put out the fire. The property damage was estimated at $350, the report said.
As of Aug. 24, no suspects had been identified, and there were no arrests, Detective Lt. James Jones said. He asks anyone with information about the vandalism to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
