Arnold Police are working with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to identify a man and woman suspected of illegally using credit cards in Arnold and Rolla, authorities reported.
An 88-year-old Arnold man reported that he dropped his wallet between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Dec. 11 outside Aldi, 2154 Michigan Ave. He told police on Dec. 12 that someone had used his Discover card to buy $2,700 worth of merchandise at Walmart Supercenter, 2201 Michigan Ave., the report said.
There wallet also had contained $50, according to the report.
Surveillance video allegedly showed a black man and woman possibly using the card, and the two in that video matched a description of a couple who allegedly did the same thing in Rolla, the report said.
As of Dec. 20, there had been no arrests, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said. Anyone with information about the man or woman should contact Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
