Arnold Police are investigating a theft from an unlocked car parked outside the Pretzel Pretzel restaurant, 1203 Water Tower Place. The wallet contained $400, and one of the victim’s credit cards that had been in the wallet was used to make a $336.95 purchase at the Walgreens store, 776 Jeffco Blvd. in Arnold, police reported.
A 20-year-old St. Louis man said he parked his 2013 Chevrolet outside the Pretzel Pretzel shop at about 10 a.m. Feb. 11, and when he returned at 4 p.m., the wallet was gone, the report said.
As of Feb. 22, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He believes the St. Louis man worked in the shopping complex.
Christopher asks anyone with information about the theft to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
