Arnold Police are investigating the theft of a pickup from outside a home in the 2200 block of Piper Drive. The 2019 Dodge 1500 had been parked outside the home for about a month before it was stolen, police reported.
A 24-year-old Belleville, Ill., man said he parked the pickup, which belongs to his father, a 61-year-old Belleville, Ill., man, outside his relative’s home on Piper Drive in February. He said the relative told him the pickup was stolen on March 7, the report said.
Arnold Police do not provide estimated values for stolen vehicles. However, the pickup is valued at more than $750, making the theft a felony.
Arnold Police did not know if the pickup was locked or where the keys were at the time of the theft.
As of March 22, the pickup had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the stolen pickup to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
