A 41-year-old Arnold woman and a 47-year-old St. Louis man were arrested after they were stopped at an Arnold gas station while traveling in a stolen SUV. An officer also found what appeared to be an illegal substance in a bag that belonged to the woman, Arnold Police reported.
An officer on Aug. 19 stopped a 2015 Jeep Patriot at the Circle K gas station, 504 Jeffco Blvd., because the SUV’s license plate had been reported stolen by the St. Louis Police. The plates were stolen on July 13 in the 7200 block of Eugene Ave, the report said.

The two were taken to the Police Station, where they were booked and released pending the application for warrants, according to the report.
Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, possession of stolen property and tampering, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
