Two women from Texas allegedly were found with $1,400 worth of perfume that was stolen from the Kohl’s department store, 2150 Michigan Ave., in Arnold. The women were arrested outside a Kohl’s store in Manchester, Arnold Police reported.

An employee from the Arnold Kohl’s location called police at about 11:50 a.m. Sept. 21 to report the stolen perfume. A 43-year-old woman and 35-year-old woman allegedly stole the perfume and left in a 2019 Mercedes SUV, the report said.

Later that day, Manchester Police contacted Arnold Police after arresting the women. A Manchester officer allegedly found the stolen perfume in the SUV, and the women allegedly admitted to taking the perfume, according to the report.

The perfume was returned to the Arnold store, Arnold Police reported.

The women were booked and released pending the application of charges. Arnold Police will seek stealing charges against the women through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
