A 39-year-old Pacific woman was arrested in Arnold after she allegedly was found with fake IDs, forged checks and a substance believed to be methamphetamine. The woman was arrested during a traffic stop outside the McDonald’s restaurant, 250 Arnold Crossroads Center, Arnold Police reported.

The woman was pulled over at about 8:20 p.m. Oct. 22 because the 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup she was driving reportedly had license plates that belonged to a Chevrolet Tahoe. When police stopped the woman, she allegedly produced a driver’s license that had a picture of woman who looked drastically different, the report said.

After officers questioned the woman, she provided her real name, and police learned she had prior convictions for driving with a revoked license. She also was wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office for fraudulent use of a credit device, according to the report.

The officers also discovered the pickup had been reported stolen April 6 in Herculaneum after someone used false information to purchase it. In addition, when officers searched the pickup, they allegedly found an eyeglass container and inside was a pipe with residue on it and a white crystal-like substance that appeared to be meth. They also allegedly found seven fake Missouri driver’s licenses, a fake student ID card and forged checks from National Bank, Commerce Bank, Boatman’s Bank, Reliance Bank, First Bank, Montgomery Bank and Bank of America, Arnold Police reported.

The woman was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where she was booked and held for the Sheriff’s Office. Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia; first-degree tampering; felony resisting arrest; felony driving while revoked; felony counterfeiting; felony forgery; identity theft and passing a bad check, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.
