A 56-year-old Imperial man was arrested after Arnold Police were told he appeared intoxicated while riding a motorcycle. Officers located the man riding a 2021 Harley-Davidson motorcycle in the drive-thru lane at the Culver’s restaurant, 123 Richardson Crossing, police reported.
Officers were called at about 9:45 p.m. June 19 to the restaurant. When they arrived, the man riding the motorcycle exited the drive-thru lane and parked in a nearby parking space, the report said.
The man allegedly told officers he had been drinking. Officers allegedly smelled alcohol and attempted to arrest the man because he was slurring his speech and appeared to struggle to maintain his balance, according to the report.
The man allegedly attempted to pull away from the officers and refused to place his hands behind his back. Officers were able to overpower the man and arrested him without further incident, the report said.
The man was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released to a sober driver, according to the report.
The man was issued summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for alleged DWI and resisting arrest, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
