A 30-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both of Arnold, recently were arrested after Arnold Police pulled over the vehicle the man was driving in the 900 block of Jeffco Boulevard and he allegedly ran away. The traffic stop happened at 1:13 p.m. Jan. 2, and the arrests occurred a short time later, the report said.

After the Arnold Police Office stopped the man, he got out of the vehicle and ran away, but shortly thereafter he was located at Hwy. 141 near the Arnold Crossroads retail complex and taken into custody. The man allegedly was found with drug paraphernalia and was wanted in Jefferson and St. Louis counties on outstanding warrants, according to the report.

He was wanted in Jefferson County for burglary and receiving stolen property, both felonies, and in St. Louis County on a felony drug charge, Jones said.

The woman, who remained in the vehicle after the traffic stop, allegedly was found with drug paraphernalia and a substance believed to be methamphetamine, Detective Lt. James Jones said.

The man was booked and then released to Rock Township Ambulance personnel, who transported him to St. Anthony’s Medical Center in south St. Louis County. Once the man was at the hospital, he left against medical advice, so Arnold Police are looking for him, Jones said today (Jan. 12).

The woman was booked and released pending application for warrants.

Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for resisting arrest, and depending on results form the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek drug charges against the woman, Jones said.
