A 49-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine. The man already was wanted in Arnold for domestic assault, according to Arnold Police.
At 3:15 p.m. June 9, Arnold Police went to the McDonald’s in the Arnold Crossroads complex to meet a Jefferson County deputy who had picked up the man on the Arnold warrant for domestic assault. Arnold Police took the man into custody and transported him to the Arnold Police Department, the report said.
During booking, the man allegedly was found with meth. He was interviewed about the domestic assault, which occurred May 2 at a home on Pleasant Valley, where the man allegedly assaulted a woman who is the mother of his child, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The suspect already had been issued a summons for the assault, but he was booked and released pending application for warrants tied to the alleged possession of meth, the report said.
Depending on results from drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek felony drug charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Jones said.
