Scott Warren Hageman, 51, of Arnold has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for growing marijuana and manufacturing methamphetamine at a home on Pomme Road in Arnold. The home is near Lone Dell Elementary School, 2500 Tomahawk Drive, according to court documents.
On Oct. 21, Hageman pleaded guilty to two counts of manufacturing a controlled substance within 2,000 feet of a school or college, each one a class B felony punishable by five to 15 years in prison. On Jan. 5, Jefferson County Div. 1 Circuit Judge Joseph Rathert sentenced Hageman to 12 years for each charge, but the sentences will be served concurrently, or at the same time, court records show.
Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Lindsay E. Whalen handled the case.
In June 2020 members of the U.S. Marshal Service arrested Hageman on outstanding warrants. While searching the home, marshals found 25 marijuana plants growing in the basement, as well as various items used to manufacture meth in the home. A coffee can was found in the living room, and the contents tested positive for meth, the probable-cause statement in the case said.
Hageman, a prior offender, pleaded guilty in November 2004 to a second-degree drug trafficking charge in St. Charles County and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
In December 2009, he pleaded guilty to drug distribution and possession charges in St. Louis County and was sentenced to six years in prison, to be served concurrently with the 12-year sentence he received in 2004, according to court records.
