Arnold Police recently pulled over a 25-year-old Arnold man in the 3600 block of the West Outer Road for an alleged traffic violation and ended up arresting him and his passenger, a 36-year-old Imperial man, for a variety of alleged offenses, including felony drug possession, a report said.
The two were pulled over at about 11:15 p.m. Aug. 12, and police allegedly found narcotics in the vehicle, including pills and methamphetamine. The Imperial man reportedly said the drugs were his, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The 25-year-old was already wanted in St. Louis County on outstanding warrants for driving with a suspended license and no insurance. In addition, the Imperial man already was wanted in St. Louis County on a warrant for possession of a controlled substance and in Sunset Hills on several warrants for driving with a revoked license, leaving the scene of an accident and other traffic violations, Jones said.
The two men were booked and held for the other law enforcement agencies who wanted them. Arnold Police will seek charges against them through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Jones said.
