A 22-year-old Arnold man who was found slumped at the wheel at the Zinger’s station, 1502 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold, was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine. The man already was wanted in Arnold, Jefferson County, Crystal City and Festus on outstanding warrants, Arnold Police reported.

At about 6:50 a.m. March 23, Arnold Police got a call about suspicious activity in a vehicle at the gas station, and an officer found the suspect asleep behind the wheel, with the engine running and a door open. The man also allegedly was found with a small amount of meth in his right sock, Lt. Tom Leassner said.

The man was wanted in Arnold for speeding, in Jefferson County on felony warrants, in Crystal City for traffic violations and in Festus on misdemeanor warrants. So, the suspect was booked and held for one of the other law enforcement agencies, Leassner said.

Depending on results from drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek felony drug charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Leassner said.
