Arnold Police arrested a 65-year-old Arnold man who is suspected of assaulting a 41-year-old Arnold man in the 2100 block of Michigan Avenue, near the Kohl’s department store, authorities reported.
Officers were called at about 1:15 p.m. Oct. 28 about the alleged assault. The younger man appeared to be stabbed, and he was transported to an area hospital for treatment, the report said.
The older man was arrested, and after emergency medical personnel evaluated him, the man declined to be transported to a hospital. Officers took him to the police station, where he was booked and released, according to the report.
Arnold Police reported the two men knew each other, and they had been involved in a dispute prior to the alleged assault.
Today, Oct. 29, Lt. Jeremy Christopher said detectives were still investigating the alleged assault. He said it had not been determined if charges against either man would be sought through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
