A 43-year-old Arnold man was arrested for alleged possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine, as well as a small amount of marijuana. The incident happened at 9:39 p.m. Nov. 15 outside the Kohl’s store, 2150 Michigan Ave., Arnold Police reported.
Officers were called to the store to assist a business resource officer, and when they arrived, found the man in a 2006 Chrysler Sebring. After the suspect got out of the car, he was searched, and officers allegedly found 12 blue pills and marijuana in his jacket pocket, the report said.
The man was arrested, taken to the Police Station and booked. The man already was wanted on outstanding warrants for a traffic violation in St. Louis and for possession of a controlled substance and carrying a concealed weapon in St. Louis County. He was held for one of those agencies to pick him up, according to the report.
Depending on lab results from the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of an illegal substance, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
