A 38-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for suspicion of drunk driving, resisting arrest and assault on a police officer, Arnold Police report.

At about 1 a.m. Sept. 14, Arnold Police had the man pull over his vehicle in the 1300 block of Jeffco Boulevard, the report said.

The man reportedly had a blood-alcohol content of .199 percent.

In Missouri, the legal limit is .08 percent.

While the suspect was being escorted to the Arnold Jail, he allegedly “became violent and refused to enter the building, kicking the arresting officer in the leg,” according to the report.

The officer was OK, said Capt. Robert Ruckman.

Arnold Police booked the man and issued him summonses to appear in Municipal Court, before releasing him to a sober driver, Ruckman said.
