A 30-year-old Arnold man was arrested after he was found unconscious in a restroom at a Walgreens store in Arnold. The man allegedly had a syringe and two capsules in his pocket, Arnold Police reported.

A school resource officer was walking through the parking lot at the Walgreens, 776 Jeffco Blvd., at about 2:20 p.m. March 1 while students were being dismissed from Fox high, middle and elementary schools, which are across Jeffco Boulevard from the pharmacy, the report said.

The store manager approached the officer and reported that an unconscious man was in the store’s bathroom. The officer woke up the man, and after Rock Township Ambulance personnel examined him, he was arrested, according to the report.

The man was taken to the Police Sation, where he was booked and released pending application for a warrant. Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
