A 25-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for allegedly threatening to shoot another man, Arnold Police report.
At 5:51 p.m. March 6, Arnold Police got a call that the suspect was flourishing a handgun in the 500 block of C Street, the report said.
About five hours earlier Arnold Police were called to the home when the suspect’s girlfriend reportedly was transported to an area hospital, according to the report.
Later, when the victim gave the woman a ride home from the hospital, her boyfriend, the 25-year-old man, allegedly “became enraged,” got a pistol and pointed it at the victim, threatening to shoot him, the report said.
Arnold Police recovered the pistol and arrested the suspect.
He was booked and then after “a cool-off period,” was released pending application for warrants, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
Arnold Police will seek unlawful use of a weapon, armed criminal action and assault charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ruckman said.
