A 65-year-old Arnold man was arrested for allegedly threatening his neighbor with a gun due to the noise the neighbor’s snow blower was making. The gun turned out to be a toy, Arnold Police reported.

Officers were called at about 3:10 p.m. Jan. 6 to the 2000 block of Kimmy Lane. A 33-year-old Arnold man told officers the older man had threatened to shoot him, the report said.

The officers arrested the older man, and they allegedly found a realistic-looking toy handgun in the man’s home. The gun looked like the one the younger man described that the other man was holding when he made the alleged threat, according to the report.

The older man was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released pending the application of charges, the report said.

Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for harassment, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
