A 25-year-old Arnold man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a single-vehicle accident on Hwy. 141 near Astra Way. The man was not injured in the accident, Arnold Police reported.
Officers were called at about 7 p.m. Jan. 27 after a southbound 2003 Honda Accord traveled off the side of the highway and hit a rock bluff. Officers found the man in the car, and he did not have a driver’s license, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
Because the man appeared intoxicated, officers asked him to perform field sobriety tests. He failed the tests and was arrested, the report said.
He was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released to a sober driver. He also was issued summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for suspicion of DWI and driving without a license, the report said.
Christopher said the Accord was damaged in the accident and was towed.
