A 24-year-old Arnold man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a disturbance at the Waffle House, 3960 Vogel Road, in Arnold. The man was arrested after he was stopped outside a nearby gas station, Arnold Police reported.
Officers were called at about 10 p.m. April 11 to the Waffle House because the man allegedly was throwing items, including a cell phone, inside the business. The objects reportedly didn’t strike anyone nor cause any damage to the restaurant, the report said.
While driving to the restaurant, officers were told the man left in a 2006 Jeep Liberty. The officers spotted the Jeep and stopped it at the Circle K gas station, 2001 Richardson Road, according to the report.
The man appeared intoxicated, and he allegedly failed field sobriety tests. He was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released pending application for warrants, the report said.
Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Arnold Municipal Court for DWI, failure to register a motor vehicle, driving without insurance and driving with an open container, Cpt. Brett Ackermann said.
