A 30-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested after he allegedly ate chicken at the Shop ‘n Save store without paying for it and then tried to kick police officers, Arnold Police report.
At 8:47 p.m. Aug. 16, Arnold Police got a call about the man stealing the chicken at the grocery store, but by the time officers arrived, he was no longer there. However, he was located a short time later nearby at the Famous Footwear store in the Water Tower Place shopping center, the report said.
While officers tried to take him into custody, he allegedly tried to kick them. He also allegedly kicked a patrol vehicle, causing a dent, according to the report.
The man appeared intoxicated, so after he was booked, he was issued summonses to appear in Municipal Court for misdemeanor stealing, assault of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest and property damage and then released after he was sober, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
