A 48-year-old Arnold man was arrested for allegedly throwing a knife at his girlfriend and then pointing a rifle at her and threatening to kill her. The incident happened at 10:02 p.m. Aug. 10 at the couple’s home in the 300 block of Rockview Circle, Arnold Police reported.
The alleged victim, a 38-year-old Arnold woman, called police to their home, and when police arrived, they found the man sitting on the front-porch steps and arrested him, the report said.
The woman told police she and her boyfriend were arguing when the man allegedly threw a kitchen knife at her while she was sitting on a couch. The knife did not strike the woman, according to the report.
Then, the man went outside to a pickup and got a rifle, which he allegedly pointed at her head and threatened to kill her. The rifle was found outside the house in foliage near the front door, the report said.
The man was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked, held for 12 hours and then released pending application for warrants. Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for first-degree assault, Lt. Tom Leassner said.
