A 30-year-old Arnold man was arrested after he allegedly pointed a pellet gun at children who were playing at a mobile home community on Lake Drive in Arnold. He also yelled at neighbors during the incident, Arnold Police reported.

Police got a call around 7 p.m. April 3 after the man allegedly used the pellet gun to threaten the children, who were at a playground in the neighborhood. Officers found the man at his home on Lake Drive, the report said.

Officers said the man appeared intoxicated. The officers also allegedly found a Sig Sauer pellet gun near the man’s feet, according to the report.

The man was arrested and taken to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County for evaluation. Arnold Police issued the man summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for unlawful use of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child and disturbing the peace, Cpt. Brett Ackermann said.
