man in handcuffs

A 44-year-old Arnold man was arrested after he allegedly was found with approximately 4 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine in a room at WoodSpring Suites, 888 Arnold Commons Drive. The man was arrested about 5:30 p.m. March 23, Arnold Police reported.

Police were called to the hotel after receiving a report that a woman was yelling for help from one of the rooms. When officers arrived at the room, there was no woman there, but when the man answered the door, they detected an odor of marijuana, the report said.

When they searched the room, officers allegedly found the cocaine, and the man was arrested and taken to the Police Station. He was booked and released pending application for warrants, according to the report.

Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
