A 36-year-old Arnold man turned himself into police six days after he allegedly attacked a 13-year-boy because he believed the teenager had stolen money from him, Arnold Police reported.

The man allegedly tackled and hit the teen several times on April 2 at a home they share on Ozark Drive. The teen had several bruises on his head and was transported to an area hospital for precautionary reasons, the report said.

Investigators were told the man believed the teen had stolen $20 from his wallet. After the two argued about the missing money, the man allegedly assaulted the teen, according to the report.

Police got a report about the alleged assault on April 5, and the man turned himself into authorities on April 8, Arnold Police reported.

The man was arrested and released pending application for warrants. Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for third-degree assault domestic violence, Cpl. Brett Ackermann said.
