An Arnold home where a registered sex offender lives recently was ransacked, and a note was left behind threatening that the perpetrators would return if the 61-year-old man did not move. In addition, two of the man’s guitars were reported stolen, according to Arnold Police.
The man said he had left just after noon Jan. 25 and when he returned to his home on Arnold Tenbrook Road just before midnight, he found the lock on his back door had been removed. Also, the threatening note was stuck in the door frame, the report said.
The man said only the two guitars were missing. Together, they were valued at about $1,000, according to the report.
Investigators found blood stains in the home, and a sample of the blood was sent to the crime lab to be analyzed, Cpl. Brett Ackermann said.
As of Feb. 2, the guitars had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Ackermann said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
