The monument at the entrance to the Hawksbury subdivision on Hawksbury Court in Arnold recently was damaged. It appears someone vandalized the monument, causing an estimated $700 in damage, Arnold Police reported.
The damage occurred between about 6 a.m. April 2 and 6 a.m. April 3. It looked like someone kicked and broke off two spheres on the ends of the monument, which has an eagle and the word Hawksbury in the middle, the report said.
As of April 12, no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He asks anyone with information about the damage to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
