Appliances, paint machines and other items recently were stolen from a home under construction in the 900 block of Konert Lake Drive in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton. The burglary happened between Feb. 4 and Feb. 5, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

The home is part of a subdivision being built in the area, Cpl. Matthew Moore said.

It looked like the culprit may have gotten into the home through an unlocked basement door. Among the stolen items was a stove, dishwasher and microwave; two paint machines; dozens of light fixtures and light bulbs; and miscellaneous electrical parts. In all, the items were valued at $5,379, the report said.

As of Wednesday (Feb. 15), the stolen items had not been recovered. There were no suspects or arrests either, Moore said. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
