A metal oven fire led to employees evacuating the Anheuser-Busch InBev Metal Container Corp. plant in Arnold on Thursday morning, May 16. The fire was quickly brought under control, and employees resumed operations, the Rock Community Fire Protection District reported.
Rock Fire was called at 6:23 a.m. to the plant at 42 Tenbrook Industrial Park, and the first firetruck arrived at 6:30 a.m., the report said.
The metal oven that was on fire was put out at 7:30 a.m., and the scene was cleared at 9:07 a.m., according to the report.
Rock Fire spokeswoman Alyson Rotter said it is not known why the oven caught on fire, but it is believed to be accidental. She said no one was injured in the blaze.
Rotter said nine other fire districts and departments responded to the three-alarm fire, and the Rock Township Ambulance District and Arnold Police Department also responded to the plant.
