An air-conditioning unit was stolen from outside a home in the 3000 block of Rock Creek Road in High Ridge. Siding on the home was damaged, too, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.

The incident happened between July 28 and Aug. 3. The victim told authorities she got a call about the theft after a neighbor was walking by the home and noticed the air conditioner missing. When the victim arrived at her home, she noticed that a shed door was open. Nothing was missing from the shed, but the air conditioner was gone, the report said.

The air conditioner and damage to the siding was valued at $5,500. As of Aug. 9, the air conditioner had not been recovered and there were no suspects or arrests, Sgt. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 636-797-5515.
