A 63-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for allegedly stealing liquor from the U-Gas store on the West Outer Road in Arnold, Arnold Police report.
The theft occurred May 20, when the man allegedly stole a bottle of Fireball whiskey worth $13.99 and left in a vehicle, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
Police were able to identify the man as the suspect by tracing the license plate number, and at about 2:35 p.m. March 21, the man turned himself in at the Arnold Police Department, Ruckman said.
The man was wanted on an outstanding warrant from St. Louis County for possession of a controlled substance, Ruckman added.
He said the man was booked, issued a summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for misdemeanor stealing and held for St. Louis County authorities.
