Olde Towne Fenton Pavilion

The Olde Towne Fenton Pavilion is still underwater, so there will be no Farmers Market held there on Saturday.

Flooding has cancelled the opening of the Olde Towne Fenton Farmers Market for now.

The market was scheduled to open on Saturday, but the pavilion that houses it at 200 Gravois Road is still underwater today (May 5), spokeswoman Angie Meyer said.

“We don’t have an exact date when it will open,” she said.

After the water recedes, the pavilion will have to be cleaned properly because food will be sold there, Meyer said.

She said the committee is talking about possibly holding the Farmers Market somewhere else until the pavilion is ready.

“We’ve been talking about what we can do, but it depends on how long it takes for the water to recede and what it takes to get back to normal,” she said.

As soon as plans for the opening of the market have been made, the organization will post it on the Olde Towne Fenton Farmers Market Facebook, Meyer said.
