Do you have fond memories of tumbling off your first bike or getting behind the wheel of your first hand-me-down car?
What about riding atop your favorite horse at your family’s farm?
No matter the mode of transportation, we encourage Jefferson County and Eureka residents of all ages to share memories of their favorite vehicle or other ride in the “My Best Ride” photo contest, sponsored by Grand Times, Leader Publications’ magazine for senior citizens.
Readers are welcome to send a photo of their “best ride” along with an explanation on why it’s their favorite. Three winners will be drawn at random from among all the entries to win cash prizes – $100 for the first name drawn, $75 for the second and $50 for the third.
The deadline to enter the contest is 5 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29.
The Oct. 12 issue of Grand Times will feature as many entries as space allows. That issue also will include information about the Eureka Senior Expo, set for Wednesday, Oct. 18, at The Timbers.
Photo contest entries should include the following information:
■ Entrant’s name, age, address and phone number.
■ The date and place the photo was taken and by whom.
■ The names of any people in the photo.
■ The make, model or type of vehicle and how you obtained it.
■ Any other information about the photo that explains why it is memorable.

Photos accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope will be mailed back; others will be held for pickup.
