The Leader’s Musician of the Month for November is Grandview R-2 High School senior Jillian Holt, 17.
Jillian is involved in the concert band, jazz band, color guard, and choir. Jillian plays the clarinet, bass clarinet, and tenor saxophone.
“I am nominating Jillian for her hard work and dedication to music,” Grandview band director Matt Bilin said. “When I first met Jillian, she was a student of mine at Tower Music. During that time I saw a passion for being the best musician she could be. She worked each week towards memorizing scales and playing etudes on her bass clarinet. There was never a day that she came to our lesson unprepared.”
Musicians of the Month receive a $20 gift certificate from Tower Music and a certificate of achievement. Both may be picked up at the store.
