Many Jefferson County homes and businesses were without electricity today (Feb. 24) after high winds and heavy snow brought down power lines and even a few poles, said Ameren spokeswoman Trina Muniz.
As of 3 p.m., 1,664 of the 87,899 Jefferson County customers were without power, according to the Ameren website.
Muniz said there was no estimate for when the customers’ power would be restored.
