The Missouri Department of Transportation closed the northbound and southbound lanes of Hwy. 141 under I-44 this morning, Nov. 7, due to anticipated flooding. That section of the highway is expected to remain closed throughout the weekend, MoDOT reported.

There will be limited access to eastbound and westbound I-44 from the highway during the closure, and detour signs will be placed in the area, MoDOT reported.

Drivers traveling north on Hwy. 141 should use I-64 (Hwy. 40) or Hwy. 100 (Manchester Road), and drivers traveling south on Hwy. 141 to use either I-55, Hwy. 21 (Tesson Ferry Road) or Hwy. 30 (Gravois Road), according to MoDOT.

The commuter lot at the northwest corner of Hwy. 141 was closed Wednesday evening, MoDOT reported.

■ Hwy. BB between Cedar Hill Road and Regina Road in Jefferson County.

■ Hwy. EE between Hwy. B and Brinley Road in Jefferson County.

■ Hwy. C between White Road and Hwy. B in Jefferson County.

■ Lewis Road from Hwy. W to Jim Weber Road in St. Louis County east of Eureka.

■ Hwy. AC between highways CC and HH in Franklin County.

■ Hwy. UU in Franklin County.

■ Hwy. C in St. Charles County.

Mastodon State Historic Site

The Mastodon State Historic Site, 1050 Charles J. Becker Drive, in Imperial has announced that its picnic area, the Spring Branch Trail and playground remained closed today due to flooding.

The picnic area is expected to open Friday, Nov. 8, but the playground and trail are expected to remain close, according to the announcement.

Employees need to re-mulch the playground area, and it is expected to be open on Wednesday, Nov. 13. The trail needs to be repaved, and it likely will not reopen until next week, the report said.

The area near the museum, including the Wildflower Trail and the portion of the Limestone Hill Trail on the north side of Seckman Road, and the Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site are open, according to the Facebook post.
