The Mastodon Art and Science Regional Fair will hold its first-ever Mouse Races fundraising event on Friday, July 22, at the Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge, 4 Elks Acres, in Crystal City.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the races will start at 7 p.m.
Admission is $20 a person and $140 for a table of eight. All proceeds will benefit the annual fair held in March at Jefferson College in Hillsboro. Students from around the county and surrounding areas are encouraged to enter science and art projects in the fair for a chance to win prizes and advance to the national level.
The mouse races event will include raffles and a silent auction for a variety of baskets. Attendees may bring their own snacks.
