Six people are running for five seats on the Lake Tekakwitha Board of Trustees in the April 2 election.

The village’s website lists five seats on its board. Each term is for two years.

According to the website, current members Tom Nickelson and Pam Laws are running for new terms. They are running against John E. Bechtel, Rita Delmain, Angela Pollack and Chris Pollack.

None of the candidates returned a Leader candidate questionnaire.

The village of about 250 people was founded in the 1940s and Lake Tekakwitha was established sometime in the 1940s and incorporated in 2009. It is off Hwy. F in the Pacific area in the northwest corner of Jefferson County.
