The presentation took place Dec. 14 at the De Soto Knights of Columbus Hall. Camp Hope is a retreat for military veterans wounded in the War on Terror. It is located in Farmington.
“We’re very grateful for all donations,” said Scott Ross, chairman of the board of directors for Camp Hope. Ross said the Knights of Columbus and other organizations in De Soto have been very generous to the camp, “and we’re very grateful for it.”
Scott said money from the donation would probably be used for the camp’s next big event, a turkey hunt in April that attracts veterans from throughout the country.
