Gary Lee Ball III, 19, of Imperial has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually molesting a 4-year-old child, court records show.
Ball pleaded guilty to statutory sodomy and second-degree child molestation, and on Sept. 10, Jefferson County Div. 1 Circuit Judge Joe Rathert sentenced him to 15 years for sodomy and 15 years for child molestation. However, the sentences will be served concurrently, or at the same time. In addition, Ball was sentenced to “lifetime supervision,” or probation, according to court documents.
In August 2018, Ball took the child to a wooded area behind a home in Imperial and sexually assaulted the victim, the probable-cause statement said.

As of Sept. 19, Ball was still in Jefferson County Jail, according to jail records.
