Arnold will spend $1,833,302.45 to repair city streets and parking lots this year.
City Council members voted 7-0 to award contracts for concrete and asphalt projects to Spencer Contracting Co. in Arnold. Ward 1 Councilman EJ Fleischmann was absent from the meeting.
Spencer, which will be paid $1,360,360.45 for the concrete work, submitted the lowest of two bids for the work, according to city documents.
Spencer, to be paid $522,942 for the asphalt work, submitted the lowest of four bids for that project, according to those documents.
Public Works Director Judy Wagner said the projects are expected to start in April, and concrete work at the Arnold Police Station and Arnold Recreation Center will be completed by May 1, followed by asphalt work there.
All concrete projects are to be completed by Aug. 1, and all asphalt projects are to be completed by Aug. 12, Wagner said.
Concrete repairs will be made on Glenwood Drive, Braxton Court, Ashley Court, Twin Oaks Drive, Berry Drive, Parkview Court, Ridgecrest Drive, Sunnyside Drive, Manufacturers Drive, along with roads in the Twin Fawns, Fox Pointe and Hickory Manor subdivisions.
Asphalt repairs will be completed on Southgate Drive, Southwood Drive, Southcrest Drive, Dixon Drive, Fairview Drive, Clearview Drive, Briarwood Manor Drive, Bradford Lane, Richardson Place Road and Lonedell Road from
Jeffco Boulevard to Rickman Lane.
