Work to repair median barrier wall damage on Hwy. 21 south of Hwy. 141 starting Monday, Sept. 23, is expected to cause traffic delays, the Missouri Department of Transportation announced today, Sept. 20.

MoDOT will close the left lane of both the northbound and southbound lanes of Hwy. 21 just south of Hwy. 141 after morning rush hour on Sept. 23. The work is expected to finish by Thursday, Oct. 2, the department said in a written statement.

After the median barrier wall repair is complete, crews will place new asphalt adjacent to the median barrier wall. The asphalt work is part of MoDOT’s Hwy. 21 pavement replacement project in Jefferson County.

Electronic message boards will alert motorists of the upcoming work. All work is weather permitting, MoDOT announced.
